Jetty Road Retreat is owned and operated by the Kleinitz family of Nungurner, a third generation farming family with strong connections to this area. Owner Ray Kleinitz first moved to Nungurner in the late 1940s from nearby Bruthen, where his parents had run the local pub.
For a number of years the Kleinitz family lived in the little shed located on Nungurner foreshore, before moving into a residence on the land where Jetty Road Retreat is located, and later, onto their farm on Nungurner Road. A sign on the heritage boat shed tells you more about Ray’s time as a youngster living there with his mum, dad, brother and sister.
Formerly known as "Galilee Holiday Flats", Ray built the existing units in the mid '70s, operating these in conjunction with his wife, Maureen, whilst raising their family of seven children on their nearby dairy farm.
Ray and Maureen’s son Stephen, and his wife Kim moved to Nungurner in 2011 to raise their young family in this beautiful setting. To give Ray and Maureen more time to fish, Stephen and Kim have taken on the management of Jetty Road Retreat, from April 2012.

Jetty Road Retreat is a family owned business, Pictured are your hosts, Steve and Kim, Patrick, Cohen & Amber, and Maureen and Ray Kleinitz. The cabins were originally built by Ray and Maureen, who are now happily retired and live onsite.
