What do I need to bring?
Deluxe hotel quality bedding, sheets and towels are provided for your stay so no need to bring your own.  The cabins are self-contained, so it’s a good idea to stock up on provisions before you arrive, then simply settle in and take in the view.  Bathroom and tea/coffee amenities are provided for convenience on day of arrival.

What cooking facilities are provided?
There is a good selection of pots, pans and cooking utensils, including plasticware for outdoor dining, coffee plunger and teapot.  Kitchen basics such as foil, cling wrap, canola spray, paper towel, salt and pepper are also in place for convenience.

Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, unlimited free Wi-Fi is available at Jetty Road Retreat.

Is there good mobile phone reception?
We are situated in a rural location, so some mobile phones may not get good coverage at our Retreat, with the exception of Telstra which has a good signal.

Where is the nearest supermarket?
Lakes Entrance is under 15 minutes’ drive from our Retreat where you’ll find Safeway, ALDI and IGA supermarkets.  If you’re traveling through Bairnsdale on your way, this is a good place to stock up before you arrive.

Are there any shopping amenities/restaurants nearby?
Nungurner is situated between Metung and Lakes Entrance, which provide for a range of dining options, cafes and shopping amenities within 10 or 15 minutes’ drive in either direction from our Retreat.

Can I bring my boat?
Yes. Our private jetty is situated directly below the cabins and is suitable for small-medium size boats.  Larger vessels can use the public jetty situated adjacent to this.  Please let us know at time of booking if you’ll be bringing a boat. Boat trailers can generally be parked on site at Jetty Road Retreat in visitor parking bay.

Do I need to book a time to use the kayaks?
No. We have a range of single and double kayaks available for guest use, with paddles and life vests also supplied.  Kayaks need to be wheeled to the foreshore and returned to their on-site storage area after use.

Are any of the cabins wheelchair accessible?
No.  Cabin 5 provides the best access with minimal steps. Country House Retreat is wheelchair accessible and offers a range of mobility aids.

Are pets permitted at Jetty Road Retreat?
Generally no, although during our low season pets may be permitted at owners discretion.  Please contact us to discuss before you book.  Country House Retreat welcomes pets year-round.

Is there a Reception area and/or how do I access the cabin when I arrive?
We don’t live directly on-site but are close by if you require any assistance during your stay.  Access is via key-safe, with details provided to you at time of booking.

CO-VID FAQs

We understand you may have some questions regarding your stay, so here are some answers to those frequently asked CO-VID 19 questions below.

Can I be close to my family/friends, but distant from others at your Retreat?

All of our properties are self contained, this means a contactless arrival and stay should you wish. We often try to stop by during your stay to ensure you have everything you need, and are just a phone call away if you need assistance whilst you’re here. We clean the accommodation ahead of your stay, not throughout, so you can enjoy your private oasis without interruption.

Our beautiful secluded hamlet of Nungurner is a heady mix of gentle rolling farm hills and wide open waterways and landscapes. Being undiscovered has it perks and allows you to explore with very little contact with locals or other guests should you prefer.

Country House Retreat is exclusively your private farm house throughout your stay, set on 50 acres of surrounding pastures and bush.

How clean are the shared facilities?

Jetty Road Retreat has only one communal area which is the laundry space, where the washing machines, DVD’s and kayak paddles & lifejackets are stored. One guest is permitted to use the space at a time. We have installed cleaning equipment to be used before and after use of the kayak equipment. Signage is provided to ensure these guidelines are enforced.

How clean is the accommodation?

We have completed a CO-VID Safe plan to ensure we have the knowledge, skills and equipment to provide our guests and staff with a safe environment. All accommodation is given a thorough clean by professional cleaning staff in between visits. This includes disinfecting all contact surfaces.  All linen is laundered offsite at a commercial laundry. Guests are provided with a personal hand sanitiser on arrival.  In addition we have installed extra anti-bacterial wash in the kitchens at each Retreat.

How will you keep track of visitors should an outbreak occur?

We have established protocols to respond to a potential outbreak onsite. A positive case of Coronavirus detected at any of our properties would result in immediate closure, reporting to the government health agency, and deep clean of the property. As part of our CO-VID Safe plan, all guests are required to complete an online health declaration form prior to their arrival at our accommodation. As required by law, we are also maintaining a register of all guests contact details, should this be needed for contact tracing.

Does Jetty Road Retreat & Country House Retreat have any official accreditation to be COVIDsafe?

Thanks to some well spent time in ISO we have up-skilled and trained our teams to be a COVID-CLEAN business. We take guest and staff safety very seriously, and are committed to providing you with a clean and safe Retreat to enjoy some down time, away from the maddening crowds, surrounded by nature.
